Indian company Welspun has signed a license agreement with V\u00e4linge Innovation for the use of locking technologies 5G\u00ae, 5G-i\u2122\u00a0and 2G\u2122\u00a0as well as Liteback\u00ae core technology. The technology implementation will enable\u00a0high-quality lightweight SPC flooring with state-of-the-art locking systems.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

A year ago, Welspun announced that its carpet business started a new chapter of growth by adding flooring solutions to its current portfolio of home textile products.\u00a0Welspun Flooring<\/em>, the\u00a0Welspun Group’s newest brainchild,\u00a0will launch the first of its four scheduled units of integrated SPC tile manufacturing facilities in this July.\u00a0Welspun plans for an extensive volume, starting with 10 million sq. meters and successively increasing. Products will be sold locally, as well as exported.\u00a0Welspun Flooring will produce SPC flooring using the V\u00e4linge\u00a0locking systems\u00a02G\u2122 and 5G\u00ae, thereby enabling fast and easy installation of its flooring products. Apart from launching the click flooring technology, Welspun is also planning as a next step to provide a 20% lighter product with the patented Liteback\u00ae core technology from Valinge.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Liteback\u00a0is a core technology for panels such as LVT, SPC & EPC\/WPC, that opens up opportunities to reduce raw material consumption during production and to make transportation more efficient. By using a grooving unit, grooves are milled on the backside of the floorboard. The material that is removed in the process is recycled back into the production process, thereby reducing material consumption with up to 20%.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe click flooring installation is easier, less time consuming and avoids the hassles associated with conventional tile-laying process.\u00a0It is seamless and no grouting is required. The product has applications in both commercial and residential buildings and the tenants can even remove them while shifting to another location,\u201d\u00a0<\/em>says Mukesh Savlani, president and CEO of Welspun Flooring.<\/p>\n
