It was a celebration of emotions and a spectacular journey through the history, present, and future of the family-owned company FN Neuhofer, which has developed over 375 years from a small sawmill to a global player in the strip industry\u2014with numerous patents for innovative products. Together with long-standing customers from over 20 countries, prominent companions from politics and business, numerous employees, and three generations of the Neuhofer family, a grand celebration was held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the Scalaria Event Resort. And the picturesque Lake Wolfgang proved to be the perfect backdrop for the anniversary.<\/p>\n

Family cohesion and entrepreneurial thinking<\/strong><\/p>\n

One person was particularly often in the spotlight on stage that evening: company boss Franz Neuhofer. In an interview with presenter Kathi W\u00f6rndl, he talked about his early days at the helm of the company, when he took over from his father, Franz Neuhofer Sr., at the age of 32. Now, with his children Victoria, Alexander, and Sarah, the 11th generation is already on board. Entrepreneurial thinking runs in the family and cannot be switched off even on vacation. Franz Neuhofer sometimes has to resort to scribbling his ideas on napkins. Several patents have been born this way. \u201cInnovation is the result of attentive listening. We pay attention to what our customers need and develop targeted solutions,\u201d says Franz Neuhofer. No wonder that this visionary mind is always working on new areas of expertise, new ideas, and new markets.<\/p>\n

Honorary citizenship for an outstanding life’s work<\/strong><\/p>\n

The surprise was a success: at the FN 375 anniversary gala, Franz Neuhofer Sr. was awarded the highest honor of the municipality of Zell am Moos: honorary citizenship and the honorary ring. \u201cAs a successful moulding manufacturer and traditional woodworking company, Neuhofer Holz is an important partner and employer for our entire region. We are proud to have such a company,\u201d emphasised Mayor G\u00fcnther Pfarl, who presented the award to Franz Neuhofer Sr. together with the municipal councillors. Neuhofer Sr. was visibly moved: \u201cI could never have done it without my wife. And my employees have always been the most important thing to me.\u201d In addition to the company anniversary, the senior boss also celebrated a personal milestone: his 85th birthday! This was followed by a standing ovation in the hall and everyone joined in with the band’s rendition of \u201cHappy Birthday.\u201d It was truly a spine-tingling moment.<\/p>\n

One highlight followed another<\/strong><\/p>\n

Conclusion: From the magnificent dinner to the atmospheric live music and spectacular show acts, the more than 300 guests experienced a night of superlatives.
