Held on Mondays throughout November, the meetings revisit the relationship between architectural education and the know-how of making, guided by Say\u0131n\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p>As Turkey\u2019s leading brand in the wood-based panel industry, Kastamonu Entegre continues to support the world of architecture with various initiatives. Throughout November, one of Turkey\u2019s foremost architects, Nevzat Say\u0131n, meets a wide audience\u2014from students and young architects to anyone interested in architecture and early-career professionals\u2014at a special Monday-evening series. The book\u2019s account of transforming the Silahtara\u011fa Power Plant into a faculty of architecture and a library forms the starting point for the lessons. The final session, \u201cMaking a Book of Building,\u201d will take place on Monday, 24 November at Kastamonu Entegre\u2019s General Headquarters\u2014an important work in Turkish architectural history that bridges modern and traditional design by Sedad Hakk\u0131 Eldem and Hayri \u015eensoy.<\/p>\n<p>Kastamonu Entegre\u2019s headquarters in Altunizade stands among notable examples that unite modernity with tradition in Turkish architecture. Eldem\u2019s typological fa\u00e7ade language, the generous skylight illuminating the inner courtyard, half-hexagonal oriels on the fa\u00e7ades, and the presence of water as a design element together make the building a distinctive work of contemporary architecture.
