Plast Eurasia, the global meeting point of the plastics industry, opened its doors for the 34th time this year with a refreshed look. In addition to the fair\u2019s market-making role, it hosted the launch of T\u00dcYAP\u2019s new panel series, \u201cT\u00dcYAP Career Route.\u201d The first session of the series, launched with the message \u201cWe chart the course together for anyone who wants to steer their career,\u201d drew strong interest from industry professionals and students.<\/p>\n

Organized by T\u00dcYAP Fair Organization Group in collaboration with PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation), the 34th International Istanbul Plastics Industry Fair (Plast Eurasia) featured a new event on December 4, 2025. Within the \u201cPlast Eurasia Plastics Days\u201d program implemented during the fair, the first session of the T\u00dcYAP Career Route panel series was held at the T\u00dcYAP Fair and Congress Center.<\/p>\n

The future of the industry and new competencies on the agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n

The launch session was held under the title \u201cEmerging Technologies and New Competencies in the Plastics Industry.\u201d Moderated by Arzu Sara\u00e7, Assistant General Manager of Employee Values, Culture and Administrative Affairs at T\u00dcYAP Fair Organization Group, the panel discussed how digital transformation, sustainable materials and new production technologies converge with the competencies of the future in the plastics sector.<\/p>\n

In this inspiring opening session of the series, the speakers were Dr. Aysun Altan, Presentation Researcher at Sabanc\u0131 University; Esra Arslanba\u015f Kaynak, Assistant General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at T\u00dcYAP Fair Organization Group; Halil Kibar, Administrative and Financial Affairs Manager at Bulpor Polymer Plastic; and \u00d6mer Kaya Yelten, General Manager of PLM Makine Kimya Plastik. The panelists guided the audience by sharing examples from their own career turning points and governance trends in their fields. Attendees had the opportunity to interact directly with the experts and ask questions.<\/p>\n

T\u00dcYAP Career Route to continue across different sectors<\/strong><\/p>\n

T\u00dcYAP Career Route will continue at different fairs and in various sectors, focusing on sector-specific advancement strategies and skills development pathways. The next stop will be the carpet sector. The second session of the series will take place on January 7 under the \u201cCarpet Talks\u201d program of the International Carpet & Flooring Expo with the theme \u201cCareers Weaving the Future,\u201d targeting sector professionals in design and architecture as well as university students.<\/p>\n

Transforming industries, evolving careers<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking at the T\u00dcYAP Career Route launch, Esra Arslanba\u015f Kaynak, Assistant General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at T\u00dcYAP Fair Organization Group, outlined one of the project\u2019s main objectives as follows: \u201cThe purpose of T\u00dcYAP Career Route is to inspire especially young people, to discuss the technological transformations and new competencies shaping the future of the industry, and to create a shared vision by bringing together all stakeholders of the sector.
