Kastamonu Entegre became the first Turkish company to receive the REACH Compliance Certificate issued by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden. The certificate documents compliance with low formaldehyde emission criteria. It also certifies the company\u2019s sustainability approach, shaped by its \u201cBridge from Nature to Life\u201d vision, on an international scale and provides an advantage in export markets.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kastamonu Entegre, the global brand of the wood-based panel industry, became the first Turkish company to receive the REACH Compliance Certificate granted within the scope of the European Union\u2019s chemical safety regulations. With this certificate, Kastamonu Entegre certifies its products\u2019 compliance with international chemical safety standards. It also secures a significant advantage in export markets by documenting, on an international scale, its production approach that prioritizes the environment and human health.<\/p>\n

Full compliance with international standards<\/strong>
\nIssued under REACH Regulation (EU) 2023\/1464, Annex XVII, Entry 77, the certificate is based on compliance with the formaldehyde emission limits set for wood and wood-based panels. The certification process was carried out by Sweden-based RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB, Certification, under the SPCR 020 rule set, which governs the verification of production processes related to formaldehyde emissions. Kastamonu Entegre\u2019s certified products were verified in accordance with the EN 717-1 and EN 16516 test standards. The certificate covers all MDF and particleboard products.<\/p>\n

Sustainable production and a low-emission approach<\/strong>
\nLow formaldehyde emissions not only reduce environmental impact but also improve indoor air quality, contributing to healthier living spaces. Kastamonu Entegre\u2019s REACH Compliance Certificate stands out as a concrete indicator of its environmentally compatible and responsible production vision, shaped by the \u201cBridge from Nature to Life\u201d approach. The use of low-emission materials also creates additional points and a preference advantage for project developers within green building certifications such as LEED, BREEAM and DGNB.<\/p>\n

\nWith the regulation set to enter into force in the European Union as of 6 August 2026, a formaldehyde emission limit of 0.062 mg\/m\u00b3 will become mandatory for wood and wood-based panels to be exported to the European market.
