<\/p>\nThe 1st Ordinary General Assembly of the Federation of Construction Contractors, Industrialists and Businesspeople (\u0130MS\u0130FED), established last March through the merger of contractor associations in Bilecik, \u0130neg\u00f6l, Yeni\u015fehir and Karacabey under the leadership of the Association of Construction Contractors, Industrialists and Businesspeople (\u0130MS\u0130AD), was held. At the General Assembly, hosted at Sheraton Bursa Hotel, \u0130MS\u0130AD President \u015eeref Demir was unanimously re elected as President of \u0130MS\u0130FED by the delegates.<\/p>\n
In his opening remarks to the General Assembly, attended by the presidents of \u0130MS\u0130FED member associations and \u0130MS\u0130FED delegates, \u0130MS\u0130AD President \u015eeref Demir delivered a message of unity and solidarity. Stating that they would effectively present the sector\u2019s problems and solution proposals to the relevant stakeholders through \u0130MS\u0130FED, Demir said, \u201cWe believe in the importance of strength through unity. Coming together under the federation\u2019s roof is an important step. In fact, we took this federation step last March by bringing together contractor associations in Bilecik, \u0130neg\u00f6l, Yeni\u015fehir and Karacabey, with the aim of establishing an umbrella organization for Construction Contractors and Industrialist Businesspeople Associations. With today\u2019s general assembly, we have also initiated a new process for \u0130MS\u0130FED. As a strong representative of the sector, \u0130MS\u0130FED will adopt an approach that not only voices problems but also presents solution proposals to the public\u2019s attention. In this way, we aim to keep decision makers under close watch and accelerate the resolution of issues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Noting that they had carried out field visits through the activities organized since the day they founded \u0130MS\u0130FED, Demir emphasized that, through their initiatives with district governorships, chambers, professional organizations and non governmental organizations, they had presented distinguished examples of sectoral solidarity. Underlining that they would continue to defend the rights of their members through strong representation, Demir stated that they would further expand their organizational structure.<\/p>\n
Following Demir\u2019s opening speech, the Assembly\u2019s Presidium Board was formed. Under the management of the Presidium Board, consisting of Hac\u0131 Bekir Ergene as Presidium Chair, Alihan G\u00fclerer as Deputy Chair and Mustafa Erg\u00fcn as Secretary Member, the Assembly proceeded to the election that would determine \u0130MS\u0130FED\u2019s governing bodies. Before the determination of the governing bodies, the activity report and the audit report were read and submitted to a vote. In the vote, both reports were unanimously approved.<\/p>\n

Thanking the delegates for their trust, Demir also shared his views on urban transformation. Emphasizing that urban transformation should aim to create human centered, livable cities, Demir underlined that, as \u0130MS\u0130FED, they have a transformation vision that puts people and the environment at the core.<\/p>\n Pointing out that the Metropolitan Municipality is planning large scale urban transformation projects in the \u00c7ar\u015famba, Alt\u0131parmak, Merinos and So\u011fanl\u0131 districts, Demir stated that the transformation process in these areas should be considered on a block basis. Demir noted that he conveyed to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey that designing the urban transformation in the \u00c7ar\u015famba and Alt\u0131parmak areas in line with a holistic approach would also bring healthy outcomes in terms of urban planning. He invited all construction companies to contribute to the process by joining the broad consortia to be formed for these projects.<\/p>\n Following \u0130MS\u0130FED President \u015eeref Demir\u2019s thank you speech, the founding presidents of \u0130MS\u0130FED delivered brief greetings emphasizing unity and solidarity.
