T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s furniture, paper, and forest products exports achieved a major success in the first quarter of the year, exceeding USD 1.760 billion<\/strong> despite global economic fluctuations and regional wars. Sector representatives emphasized that this figure is proof of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s manufacturing strength and design quality.<\/p>\n

According to data from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (T\u0130M), the furniture, paper, and forest products sector managed to push its export graph upward in the first three months of 2026. The export figure of USD 1,760,517,000<\/strong>, achieved during a period overshadowed by geopolitical tensions, was welcomed positively across the sector.<\/p>\n

G\u00fcle\u00e7: \u201cA success achieved despite the wars\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahmet G\u00fcle\u00e7, Chairman of the Federation of Furniture Associations (MOSFED), drew attention to the ongoing conflicts in T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s surrounding geography in his assessment of the issue. Commenting on the announced export figures, G\u00fcle\u00e7 said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe see this export figure in the furniture and forest products sector as a major success, despite the geopolitical tensions and wars taking place in our nearby region.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u0130neg\u00f6l furniture is opening up to the world\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Significant support for these figures also came from \u0130neg\u00f6l, a district of Bursa and one of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s furniture production centers. Alican Yava\u015f, Chairman of the Ertu\u011frul Gazi Furniture Makers Avenue Association, highlighted the sector\u2019s resilience and production capability. Stating that \u0130neg\u00f6l\u2019s share within T\u00fcrkiye has been increasing year by year, Yava\u015f noted:<\/p>\n

\u201c\u0130neg\u00f6l furniture has become a strong brand, especially in the Middle Eastern and European markets. The leading product groups in exports were sofa sets, bedroom sets, and dining room sets. It was underlined that these results, achieved despite the contraction in global trade, are extremely valuable for the country\u2019s economy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yava\u015f also stated that T\u00fcrkiye competes in the furniture sector not only with capacity but also with design and quality, adding: \u201cAt the point we have reached today, we are making a serious contribution to the national economy with both our production capacity and our export capability.\u201d<\/p>\n
