Ghamoud Produces First Board on New Complete DIEFFENBACHER Line<\/strong><\/p>\n

On January 18, Algerian wood-based panel manufacturer Ghamoud<\/strong> produced the first board on its new DIEFFENBACHER particleboard line<\/strong>. The plant in El Eulma<\/strong> in the province of S\u00e9tif<\/strong> is equipped with a 13-meter-long CPS+ continuous press<\/strong> designed to produce 100,000 m\u00b3 per year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Together with its Chinese subsidiary Shanghai Wood-based Panel Machinery (SWPM)<\/strong>, DIEFFENBACHER developed a plant concept tailored for Ghamoud. In addition to the CPS+<\/strong>, DIEFFENBACHER supplied everything from flaking, through the dryer, the gluing system and forming station, to the raw board handling system and sanding line.<\/p>\n

\u201cDIEFFENBACHER designed our new plant for a smaller capacity, perfectly suited to our market and with the corresponding positive effects on our budget,\u201d says Mohamed Ghamoud<\/strong>, owner and Managing Director of the family-owned company. \u201cThe plant is the ideal entry-level system for newcomers like us to the wood-based panel market,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat Mohamed Ghamoud and his family have achieved here in northern Algeria, despite all the adversities, commands my utmost respect,\u201d explains Didier Goesaert<\/strong>, Area Sales Director at DIEFFENBACHER. \u201cChallenges arose time and again during the course of the project, and time and again the Ghamoud family overcame them to bring the project to a successful conclusion. I take my hat off to them,\u201d he continues.<\/p>\n

Ghamoud\u2019s particleboard plant is one of four continuous wood-based panel plants<\/strong> delivered by DIEFFENBACHER to North Africa<\/strong> in recent years. In May 2022<\/strong>, Panneaux d\u2019Algerie\u2019s MDF plant<\/strong> in El Tarf, Algeria<\/strong>, went into operation. In June 2025<\/strong>, Nile Wood<\/strong> produced the first board on its complete DIEFFENBACHER MDF line in Sadat City, Egypt<\/strong>. Also in Egypt, the world\u2019s first line for producing MDF from date palm fronds<\/strong> for the National Service Projects Organization<\/strong> will soon go into operation.<\/p>\n
