Thai MDF manufacturer improves quality and saves energy by replacing two conventional sifters with one Z-Sifter<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wisewoods Co. Ltd. has commissioned a second DIEFFENBACHER Z-Sifter with Dryer Discharge Conveyor (DDC) for optimized material feeding at its MDF site in Khao Yoi, Thailand, replacing two conventional sifters in an existing production line. The investment further enhances the processing of rubberwood, which is used as the raw material for 99% of the company\u2019s products. It follows the successful start-up of Wisewoods\u2019 new CEBRO MDF plant from DIEFFENBACHER in August 2024, which was also equipped with a Z-Sifter for efficient processing of the challenging raw material.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince the latex residue in rubberwood usually has almost the same density as the wood fibers, conventional sifters, while effective at removing glue lumps, metals and large pieces of fiber, cannot remove the latex residues,\u201d explains Visarut Palarit, Deputy Director at Wisewoods. \u201cThat\u2019s why we rely on the DIEFFENBACHER Z-Sifter, which has a zigzag profile and was specifically developed for producing MDF from rubberwood. The Z-Sifter effectively removes most of the latex stains from our finished product,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

\u201cDIEFFENBACHER\u2019s Z-Sifter has an excellent reputation, particularly in Thailand and Southeast Asia. It\u2019s the most frequently installed sifting system in the region among manufacturers who use rubberwood as a raw material,\u201d reports Palarit. \u201cThe unique expertise of the DIEFFENBACHER team helps us capture the benefits of the Z-Sifter. Compared to other suppliers, they have by far the most experience with rubberwood and have helped us overcome the difficulties of this raw material,\u201d he adds.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur customers are very satisfied with the quality of the MDF from our new DIEFFENBACHER CEBRO line. That\u2019s why we now also replaced the two conventional sifters in our other MDF line with a Z-Sifter with DDC from DIEFFENBACHER,\u201d says Palarit. \u201cIn addition to enhancing product quality, we were able to reduce energy consumption in this area by around 50%. That\u2019s because we have replaced two old sifters with one new Z-Sifter without any loss of capacity,\u201d he concludes.<\/p>\n

For many years, the Z-Sifter has been a success story for DIEFFENBACHER, particularly in Southeast Asia. Over the past decade, the German machinery and plant manufacturer has supplied 15 of these \u201crubberwood specialists\u201d to customers in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia. By the end of 2026, four additional Z-Sifters with DDC for optimized material feeding are scheduled to start operation in Thailand, including two at Panel Plus in Songkhla and two at Metro-Ply MDF in Surat Thani.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
