The Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters\u2019 Association<\/strong> held its \u201cExport Stars Award Ceremony\u201d<\/strong> to honor 20 member companies that accounted for USD 522 million<\/strong> of the Association\u2019s total USD 940 million in exports in 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the award ceremony held at the Aegean Exporters\u2019 Associations, the top five companies in the categories of wood products, non-wood forest products, paper and paper products and furniture<\/strong> received their awards.<\/p>\n

Ali Fuat G\u00fcrle<\/strong>, Chairman of the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters\u2019 Association, provided information on the Association\u2019s activities aimed at reaching its USD 1 billion export target<\/strong>, including international fairs, sectoral trade delegations, buying missions and design competitions.<\/p>\n

2026 Performance: 2 National Participations, 3 Trade Delegations, 2 Buying Missions and 2 Design Competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chairman G\u00fcrle summarized the Association\u2019s 2026 activities, stating:<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters\u2019 Association, we organized two national participation events, three sectoral trade delegations, two buying missions and two design competitions in 2026.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hikmet G\u00fcng\u00f6r<\/strong>, Vice Chairman of EMKO\u00dc\u0130B, stated that they had focused particularly on sectoral trade delegations for the furniture industry. He noted that a trade delegation to the United Kingdom was organized in early October 2026 while another sectoral trade delegation to Serbia and Hungary<\/strong> is scheduled for November 30-December 4, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He added that a sectoral trade delegation to Morocco<\/strong> is planned for December under the UR-GE Project. G\u00fcng\u00f6r also stated that the Ezberbozan Design Competition<\/strong> was organized for the sixth time and that a T\u00fcrkiye National Participation Organization was held at HD Expo Las Vegas in the United States from May 5 to 7, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Emphasizing that paper has always been an integral part of everyday life, EMKO\u00dc\u0130B Vice Chairman Ferit Kora<\/strong> stated that the Association accounts for USD 575 million<\/strong> of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s total USD 2.5 billion paper industry exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Kora added that the Association will organize T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s national participation at Paper & Tissue Show London 2026<\/strong>, to be held at ExCeL London on November 11-12, 2026<\/strong> and that the Papirus Packaging Design Competition<\/strong> will be organized for the first time in 2026.<\/p>\n

EMKO\u00dc\u0130B Board Member \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Altunta\u015f<\/strong> stated that the Aegean Region accounts for 65% of T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s USD 192 million in non-wood forest products exports<\/strong>, with its share in oregano exports reaching 98%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He added that the technical committee established within EMKO for the spice industry has been active for the past two years and that the Association will host the European Spice Association Technical Committee Meeting in 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

EMKO\u00dc\u0130B Board Member Mustafa Yurteri<\/strong> also provided participants with information about projects carried out for the wood industry.<\/p>\n

The Export Stars Award Ceremony<\/strong> organized by the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters\u2019 Association was attended by Aegean Exporters\u2019 Associations Coordinator Chairman Muhammet \u00d6zt\u00fcrk<\/strong>, Aegean Apparel Exporters\u2019 Association Chairman \u00c7a\u011flar Ba\u011fc\u0131<\/strong>, Aegean Fisheries and Animal Products Exporters\u2019 Association Chairman Ufuk Atakan Demir<\/strong>, \u0130zmir Chamber of Furniture Makers and Carpenters Chairman Zafer Ko\u00e7<\/strong>, members of the EMKO\u00dc\u0130B Board of Directors and representatives of exporting companies.<\/p>\n
