Design industry\u2019s well known company Schattdecor<\/strong> has organized a Design Event Week in two different regions and met furniture designers in Turkey. During this organization, company executives and furniture designers came together for the special activity called \u201cDesign and Visions At Furniture Sector in Turkey<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Schattdecor <\/strong>Group, one of the leading companies among decorative paper manufacturers in the world, has production facilities in the international market is Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Italy, Russia, China, Brazil, Turkey and in the United States.<\/p>\n

The company recently organized an event called “Designs and Visions of Turkish Furniture Sector<\/strong>” within the concept of Design Week program and came together with furniture designers in Turkey. Organization was held in two different regions and most beautiful areas ofTurkey;Cappadocia and Sapanca. During the event at which the new worldwide trends of Schattdecor were presented, company executives exchanged ideas with the Turkey’s leading furniture companies\u2019 designers. Schattdecor executives discussed the new trends in the furniture sector and presented the company\u2019s new trends to the consideration of participants. The event started with a welcoming cocktail hour for participants that followed by a nice dinner. The presentations were held the next day where the company executives find a chance to meet attendees and discuss the future of furniture industry. The atmosphere was extremely friendly and pleasant. Schattdecor executives told that they would like to continue these types of organizations and help the industry to move forward.<\/p>\n

Schattdecor is a constant trend leader, and has been supplying the market with best-selling decors for years. Schattdecor’s international designer team is constantly working to produce new ideas for decor papers and enrich Schattdecor’s range of products. The products, which Schattdecor has been offering to the industry, are mostly used in the areas of kitchen, furniture and laminate surfaces for covering purposes.<\/p>\n

1985\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Schattdecor is founded by Walter Schatt in Ziegelberg, near Rosenheim, Germany.<\/em><\/p>\n

1989\u2028<\/em><\/strong>A new factory building is opened in Thansau, near Rosenheim.<\/em><\/p>\n

1993\u2028<\/em><\/strong>In the first step in Schattdecor’s foreign expansion, the joint venture Maltaprint is founded in Poland for the production of decor paper.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

1995 \u2028<\/em><\/strong>Entry into the Italian market. The decor printing company Cartiere Sottrici Binda in Milan is acquired.<\/em><\/p>\n

1997\u2028<\/em><\/strong>The new production facility in Rosate (Italy) takes up work.<\/em><\/p>\n

1998\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Schattdecor gains a stake in Arcolor, a manufacturer of printing inks based in Waldstatt, Switzerland.<\/em><\/p>\n

1999\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Schattdecor acquires all the shares in Maltaprint, renames it Schattdecor and builds it new premises in Tarnowo Podgorne, Poland.\u00a0 \u2028A majority interest in the Polish foil manufacturer Prismadecor in G\u0142ucho\u0142azy is acquired. \u2028Establishment of Schattdecor do Brasil in Curitiba.<\/em><\/p>\n

2000 \u2028<\/em><\/strong>In response to the growing significance of the Russian market, Schattdecor Russia is established in Schatura (about 140 km south-east of Moscow).\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

2001\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Schattdecor China in Shanghai is established.<\/em><\/p>\n

2002 \u2028<\/em><\/strong>Foundation of the joint venture Penzadecor in Penza, Russia, for the production of decor paper. \u2028A new production facility is opened in Pudong, Shanghai. \u2028Foundation of the machine building subsidiary Rotodecor in Bad Salzuflen, Germany.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

2003\u2028<\/em><\/strong>The foil manufacturer Pertech is aquired in Embu, Brazil.<\/em><\/p>\n

2005\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Start of construction work on a new head office and logistics centre in Thansau. \u2028Expansion of production capacity in Shanghai. \u2028Construction of a new production building and installation of a base paper machine in Quzhou. \u2028Plans are drawn up for the construction of a new decor printing plant in Chekhov (near Moscow), and the respective plot is bought at the end of the year.<\/em><\/p>\n

2007\u2028<\/em><\/strong>The employees and management are delighted with the results for 2006, when 1.100 employees all over the world generated consolidated sales in excess of EUR 420 million with the production of over 103.000 metric tons of printed decor paper and more than 200 million sqm of melamine film and finish foil. \u2028<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a02008\u2028<\/em><\/strong>The year begins with the merging of the subsidiaries Prismadecor (Poland) and Penzadecor (Russia) with the respective Schattdecor firms in these countries.\u00a0 \u2028In March, Schattdecor announces two new investment projects: a new decor paper plant in Turkey (due to start production in 2010) and one in the USA (scheduled to take up production in 2011<\/em><\/p>\n

2010\u2028<\/em><\/strong>At the beginning of the year, it becomes apparent that Schattdecor has emerged from the crisis in good shape. On 26 April 2010, the company celebrates its 25 anniversary. In April, Schattdecor gains a new agent in Greece, plus in May it receives a design award for its digital-print decor paper study “Giant Wood” from the hands of internationally renowned designer Karim Rashid.\u2028Work is coming along well on construction measures in the USA and Turkey. In July, the Bavarian Order of Merit is bestowed on company founder Walter Schatt by Horst Seehofer, Minister President of Bavaria.\u2028The Russian subsidiary OOO Schattdecor celebrates its 10th anniversary in October.\u2028On 3 December, the newly-completed Schattdecor plant in the Gebze plant near Istanbul, Turkey, prints its first reel of decor paper. At the year-end party in Thansau, CEO Reiner Schulz announces that the findings of the location’s first employee opinion survey reveal top results in terms of employee satisfaction, but also room for improvement.\u2028The year ends with the retirement of longstanding Chief Sales Executive Hartwig Dickten, the welcoming of new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Roland Auer, and record consolidated sales of \u20ac440 million.\u2028<\/em><\/p>\n

2011\u2028<\/em><\/strong>Schattdecor starts the year by taking a new lacquer topcoating line into operation at its plant in G\u0142ucho\u0142azy\/Poland, boosting its capacity for production of pre-impregnated finish foil to the largest in the world. The newly-built plant in St. Louis, MO (U.S.A) also goes into operation at the beginning of the year, and resin impregnation facilities in Tyumen, Russia, are acquired in the spring.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u2028The digitalVisions by Schattdecor collection of digital-print decors is unveiled at the Euroshop in D\u00fcsseldorf and the Interzum in Cologne.\u2028Schattdecor’s showing at the Interzum is once again a great success, with a particular highlight being the premiere of 3D_Lab by Schattdecor, an innovative new means of decor presentation. This is followed later on by inauguration of the newly-built plants in Istanbul, Turkey, and St. Louis, MO, U.S.A., and by successful participation in the ZOW Istanbul, Italy’s SICAM Pordenone and the Mebel Exhibition in Moscow in the autumn.<\/em>[\/box]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
