With the establishment of Finkemeier Holding, the Finkemeier family, which owns the business, has set the course for the future of its group of companies with the aim of safeguarding the succession in the long term, the consolidation of central departments and increasing the strategic management across all of its companies.

Since its establishment two years ago, the holding company has been set up successively; its structures have been defined and the responsibilities have been redistributed. The changes are now becoming apparent: new areas of expertise within the holding company and a modernised C-level structure at Häcker, as well as the involvement of the next generation, mark the beginning of a new phase in the further development of the family business.
Strategic role of the holding company
Within the group of companies, the holding company will perform central tasks in the areas of vision & strategy, finances & taxes and culture & communication. This will make the entire organisation more flexible and more efficient, and increase its capabilities – whilst its foundations will remain unchanged. “Häcker remains what it is – a strong, independently managed business. The holding company increases our scope for ensuring that we can future-proof the entire group of companies,” says managing partner Jochen Finkemeier.
Double strategy for growth and resilience
In mid-term planning terms, Finkemeier Holding is clearly pursuing a double strategy:
- Strengthening Häcker’s core business with the aim of the further expansion of its market position.
- Investing in new markets and business areas in order to safeguard its long-term diversification, growth and resilience.
All subsidiaries will benefit from this strategy; the entire group of companies will therefore be more robust, international and future-proof.

The holding company’s areas of expertise
Finkemeier Holding is the strategic umbrella of the group of companies and clearly structured; it is divided into three areas of expertise. All central departments and responsibilities have been consolidated and have been allocated to one of these areas:
- Finance, Family Office, Culture & Communication (headed by Jochen Finkemeier) – this covers the areas of finances, accounts, taxes, property management as well as all aspects related to values, sustainability and communication.
- Strategy & Business Development (headed by Stefan Möller) – this area focuses on investments, innovations and the exploration of new areas of business.
- OPEX & Consulting (also headed by Stefan Möller) – the focus here is on the management of the international subsidiaries, process optimisations and also the utilisation of potential group-wide synergies.

The fifth generation of the owners joins the business
When Jan Finkemeier joins Häcker as one of its managing directors on 1 November 2025, he will be the first of the fifth generation of the family to take over some of the operational responsibilities for the business. As the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), he will drive its digital transformation ahead, both in strategy as well as in operational terms – with the support of his more experienced management colleagues. “It fills me with huge pride that with Jan, the fifth generation will now join our family business. It proves that Gen Z also shares our values and our passion for Häcker. I view this as a strong indicator for continuity and a reflection of our close bonds with the company; at the same time, it is an important step for securing the successful future of our company long-term.”
New C-level structure at Häcker
In parallel with the establishment of the holding company, Häcker’s executive management level has also been developed further. A so-called C-structure will be implemented from 1 November 2025 onwards. This is a standard international structure that establishes clearly defined responsibilities and ensures that the management of the company rests on several strong shoulders:
- Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Stefan Möller will manage the operational business and ensure process efficiency.
- Chief Sales Officer (CSO) – Matthias Berens is an experienced industry expert who will expand the international sales and marketing activities.
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Dirk Krupka will be responsible for the technological further development and innovation projects.
- Chief Digital Officer (CDO) – Jan Finkemeier, the representative of the fifth generation, will take over the digitalisation area and will cooperate closely with and be supported by Dirk Krupka.
With this combination of clearly defined areas of expertise in the holding company and a modern management structure at Häcker, the group of companies is establishing the basis for an efficient performance, transparent decision-making processes and sustainable growth, which will be emphasised by further personnel changes.
- With Matthias Berens, an experienced industry expert will be rejoining the business in November. He will expand the international sales and marketing activities in order to thereby ensure Häcker’s long-term strength.
- Concurrently, Olaf Thuleweit will be leaving his executive position at Häcker and will take on the role of Head of Operational Excellence in the holding company, where he will be responsible for the aspects of process optimisation, group synergies and executive support.
- Alongside his role as CTO, Dirk Krupka was also responsible for the digitalisation department and drove important projects ahead. He will now hand over this department to Jan Finkemeier and will closely cooperate with and support Jan as his mentor during the induction phase.
- At the executive level, Stefan Möller worked on the establishment of the holding company in close cooperation with Jochen Finkemeier in the past 24 months. He will continue to hold the position of COO at Häcker. The plan is that he will give up this executive position at the turn of the year 2026/2027 and will then focus exclusively on his responsibilities within the holding company. The respective succession planning is in full swing and should be completed in the coming months.
- As a managing partner and the company’s CEO, Jochen Finkemeier will continue to represent Häcker. At the same time, he will in future focus increasingly on the further development of the holding company: “We are facing huge challenges, but also amazing opportunities. With Finkemeier Holding, we have established the basis for combining Häcker’s strength with a future-proof, professionally managed group of companies and for securing the long-term success of our family business.”
Family business still the core value
“Regardless of all of these changes, one thing will not change: we are and will remain a family business. Our actions are defined by our long company history, our values and our responsibility, and we also want to ensure precisely this with the holding company in future,” so Finkemeier’s concluding words.
