Modular bathroom pod ‘Erawet’ offers a technological construction solution

“Wet areas are no longer construction—they’re a product”

Developed by Consera with 50 years of experience in the building sector, the modular wet-area brand ‘Erawet’ is manufactured in the factory in line with industry standards and was introduced at a launch event. The brand, produced with lean manufacturing processes and minimal material waste, offers speed and cost advantages and is built on sustainable principles. The bathroom pods can be easily integrated into various buildings such as residences, hotels, schools, dormitories, and hospitals.

Standing out as an innovative and technological construction solution, Erawet offers a dedicated solution for contractors, architects, and project management firms with the motto “Wet areas are no longer construction—they’re a product.” Melih Şimşek, Founder of Consera and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Structural Steel Association, says, “Erawet offers a cost advantage through optimized production processes and minimal material waste. Transforming the most sensitive areas of buildings—wet areas—into an industrial product, our brand accelerates the construction site process with modular production techniques and enables projects to be completed faster, shortening the return-on-investment period.”

The modular bathroom pod ‘Erawet’ was introduced at a launch event. The event also featured a panel sharing the project experience of “İş Bankası Marmaris Training and Recreation Facility,” where Turkey’s first Erawet modular bathroom pod was used. The bathroom pods used in the project were also exhibited during the panel.

Moderated by inSuppliers Founder Güliz Fiş, the panel hosted Bilge Başaran Çağlayan, Manager of the Architecture Unit at Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. Construction and Real Estate Management Department; Arif Erdiş, Executive Board Member of Gülsan Holding; Hasan Çalışlar, Partner at Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architecture; and Serkan Sarıca, Managing Partner at MCS Project Management Company.

During the panel, stakeholders from design, contractor, client, and project management shared their experiences across the project’s 330-day journey. Participants advocated for advancing the sector with modular systems and removing implementation— including the load-bearing system— from human discretion, while emphasizing that the project should serve as a model for subsequent projects.

Cuts construction time by up to 50% with a fast and practical setup

While site preparations and other structural works are underway, Erawet bathroom pods are produced simultaneously in the factory; this parallel production process shortens total construction time by up to 50%, enabling projects to be completed more quickly. As the bathroom pods are delivered ready for use, on-site labor time is minimized, field operations accelerate, and costs decrease.

Project-specific design: “Plug and Play” modules can be easily integrated into different buildings

Manufactured in accordance with industry standards, the bathroom pods undergo rigorous quality control processes to ensure that every bathroom is produced at the same high quality. This minimizes the margin of error during on-site installation and reduces rework costs.

Erawet bathroom pods are delivered with all utility connections and installation completed. Electrical, water, and ventilation connections can be commissioned within just a few hours, eliminating the need for any extra on-site work. Easily integrated into different buildings such as residences, hotels, hospitals, and student dormitories, the bathroom pods can be flexibly scaled up or down according to bathroom capacity and project size. As “Plug and Play” modules arrive with all utility tests completed, they can be commissioned within a few hours.

Efficient, lean, and sustainable

Melih Şimşek, Founder of Consera and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Structural Steel Association, says, “Our brand is accomplishing a first in Turkey. Although Erawet is a construction product, it incorporates technological innovations and provides cost control. Customizable to the expectations of architects and project developers, the bathroom pods offer unique solutions for each project in a single step with different sizes, materials, colors, and hardware options.”

Reduces energy consumption and carbon footprint

Emphasizing that Erawet is produced in a controlled factory environment, Melih Şimşek notes, “This minimizes material waste, energy consumption, and carbon footprint. Manufactured with sustainable principles, the bathroom pods stand out as an ideal solution for eco-friendly projects compliant with green building certifications. With up to 100% less water usage in production, natural resources are preserved while saving energy. Erawet offers a cost advantage through optimized production processes and minimal material waste. The use of Erawet bathroom pods also reduces noise, dust, and construction clutter on site. Our brand creates a cleaner and safer working environment and reduces operational risks for project stakeholders.”

Enables faster project completion

Explaining that the same superior quality is achieved in every bathroom, Şimşek continues: “Offering a dedicated solution for contractors, architects, and project management firms, our brand accelerates the site process with modular production techniques and ensures projects are completed more quickly, thereby shortening the return-on-investment period. Pre-manufactured bathroom pods, delivered on time, also prevent excess inventory and material waste.”

All Erawet products can be purchased via Proemtia—an İşbank subsidiary—with payment terms up to 150 days.
