A chalet is a synonym for holidays, relaxation and recuperation. KLAFS, the world’s leading manufacturer in the field of sauna, pool and spa has premiered the new Sauna Chalet, which is built from health-inducing stone pine. The stylish and cosy sauna provides a perfect balance to those seeking relaxation, with its modern interpretation of tradition.
Stone pine, the timber that creates wellbeing, comes from the stone pine tree. The stone pine, also known as the umbrella pine or parasol pine and which can reach up to 1,000 years of age, is also referred to as the Queen of the Alps. Its wood is attributed with a number of positive features. The health-inducing benefits of the timber were established at the Johanneum Research Institute in Graz. The influence of stone pine can be seen in a reduction of heart rate in instances of physical and mental strain. The vegetative recovery process is accelerated in a subsequent calm phase and heart and circulatory problems are counteracted. Furthermore, an improvement in weather sensitivity and sleep quality has also been proven.
In the Sauna Chalet both the exterior and interior cladding consists of large-scale processed, luminous golden stone pine. Horizontal real wood veneer panels convey a generous spatial atmosphere. Recessed ceiling sections and decorative elements on the walls bring out a traditional note and the reclining facilities, with their purist elegance, create a harmonious balance. Even the door handle and the sauna lighting inside are made from treated stone pine. The front of the sauna consists mostly of glass and provides a free view of the stylish interior. The indirect lighting concept ensures an elegant atmosphere. The reclining fittings, with their recoiling panel, provide great reclining comfort – also on the lowest level – and allow the sauna user lots of room to relax. By these means, the bather can enjoy stylish and pure relaxation and the positive effect of stone pine in a particularly intensive manner with every sauna use.
