YUSUF GÜLTEKİN Taner, President of Chamber of Interior Architects Istanbul Branch

He was born in Ankara in 1959. After studying in TED Ankara College and Mimar Kemal High School, Mr. Gültekin went to Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, and graduated from the Department of Industrial Design Interior Design in 1983. After a short experience in the market, he got married to interior designer Mrs. Reyhan Gültekin and they started their own business interior design where they continue to work with the name as RETA Architectural Engineering and Interior Design Company.

In 2011, Mr. Gültekin served as a part-time instructor and teach at the Bahçeşehir University Department of Interior Design Furniture Design. He has been serving as a member of the jury for so many interior architecture and design competitions, and will continue to do so.

Mr. Gültekin has done succesful projects in Turkey and abroad and some of his works include; Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia museum accessibility project for individuals with disabilities, the history museum in Tripoli, Libya, concept of a traveling exhibitionin Rome, Italy, Balmumcu Mint Museum and the restoration-renovation of Istanbul Consulate General of Belgium. He continues to work on the interior design projects of Science and Technology Museum of Rami Barracks. Since 2012, he has been the President of Chamber of Interior Architects Istanbul Branch.
