ACIMALL GENERAL ASSEMBLY: NEW BOARD MEMBERS APPOINTED

The general assembly of Acimall – the association of Italian manufacturers of furniture and wood technology – has elected the new board members for the 2025-2027 term.

The board of the Confindustria member association will include Marianna Daschini (ceo, Greda, Mariano Comense), Mario Moretti (sales manager, Costa Levigatrici, Schio; Vicenza), Pierluigi Paoletti (ceo, Paoletti Energy, Borgo Valbelluna; Belluno), Franco Paviotti (ceo, Metal World, Percoto; Udine) and Gianluca Storti (owner, Storti, Motta Baluffi; Cremona).

The newly appointed members will join president Enrico Aureli (president, Scm Group, Rimini) and Raphaël Prati (chief marketing & communications officer, Biesse, Pesaro), whose appointment will be renovated next year, according to the association’s statute.

The election occurred during the annual assembly of Acimall, held on Thursday, July 3, opened by president Aureli’s speech and remarks on industry trends and association activities. Aureli stressed the need to start a new phase of digital transformation, going beyond commonplace actions to recognize the key role of the “heart” of any technology: the software that governs it. This step must be driven by a new awareness of the priorities that companies can express, not only as a result of their know-how, but also of the deep experience and competence that will make a difference in a more and more competitive world.

After unanimously approving the financial statements, the assembly works continued with the presentation of an in-depth study by Mecs (Manufacturing EConomic Studies) about the Italian woodworking technology industry in the international scenario, an industry that employs just below 10 thousand people in 188 “significant” companies, and that in 2024 achieved a production of 2.47 billion euro, with an export share of 74.1 percent (1.83 billion).

The day closed with a speech by Riccardo Cavanna, president of the newly founded Federazione Confindustria Macchine for ceramics, wood, plastics and rubber, and packaging – which Acimall is a member of together with Acimac (technologies for ceramics), Amaplast (machinery for plastics and rubber) and Ucima (packaging machines). Cavanna reaffirmed the commitment of the federation to carry out a strong lobbying action in all the national and international seats where key decisions are made for the future of the Italian mechanical industry.
