ISO 500 Reveals the Production Map of Turkish Industry
The Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises Survey, shared with the public every year by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, ISO, is regarded as one of the most important reference studies for tracking the production power of Turkish industry, company scale, sales from production performance and the overall outlook of the real sector.
The ranking criterion of the survey is determined based on the enterprises’ sales from production, net size. In this respect, ISO 500 makes visible not only the turnover scale of companies, but also their economic size directly linked to industrial production.
The Institutional Memory of Industrial Data from 1968 to the Present
The history of the ISO 500 survey dates back to the 1960s. First announced to the public in 1968 under the name “Top 100 Companies”, the study was expanded to 300 enterprises in 1978 and to 500 enterprises in 1981. Since then, the survey has continued to be published regularly under the name Türkiye’s Top 500 Industrial Enterprises.
Expanding in scope over time, the survey has become an important data source for monitoring the development of Turkish industry over the years, tracking the production power of sectors, comparing company scales and recording economic transformation.
Sales from Production Came to the Fore in the 2025 Results
According to the ISO 500 2025 results, the total sales from production of the enterprises included in the list exceeded 11 trillion TL. The survey offers the opportunity to evaluate the production performance, export strength, employment structure, financial indicators and changes in company scale within Turkish industry in 2025.
In this context, the announced lists serve as an important reference in terms of industrial enterprises’ production capacity, economic size and position within Turkish industry.
