A special honor for FN Neuhofer Holz: On behalf of the entire team, Franz Neuhofer, CEO and 10th-generation owner, accepted the PEGASUS Business Award in the “Export Champion” category.
At the gala evening on June 11, 2026, at the Brucknerhaus in Linz, the family-owned company was honored with the bronze PEGASUS trophy.
The award recognizes the international strength, innovative spirit and sustainable development of the Zell am Moos-based company, which has been successfully operating beyond Austria’s borders for generations.
FN Neuhofer generates approximately 92% of its total revenue through its export business. The range of moldings and “Made in Austria” acoustic panels is shipped to approximately 70 countries worldwide.
Through its presence at international trade fairs, smart strategic decisions and a strong commitment to investment, the family-owned company has been expanding its global reach for decades.
Even in light of the current difficult situation in the Middle East and the resulting price increases, FN Neuhofer has reacted quickly and streamlined its supply chain.
“Our approach of recognizing and seizing opportunities in every crisis helps us tackle any challenge,” emphasizes Franz Neuhofer, who leads the company as its 10th-generation head.
Thinking Outside the Box and Across the Atlantic
Regular investments are securing the future of the main site in Zell am Moos, Haslau. Recently this March, FN Neuhofer opened its new extrusion plant in nearby Pöndorf.
Since 2024, the company has been active in the U.S. market through the joint venture “NSP, Panels & more.” A new production plant is currently under construction in Mullins, South Carolina.
To tap into further potential in the East, Neuhofer is currently setting up a new sales and logistics location in Poland.

One of the Country’s Most Prestigious Awards
As one of Austria’s most prestigious and largest business awards, the PEGASUS annually honors the best companies in Upper Austria.
It is presented by the Oberösterreichische Nachrichten, OÖN, in collaboration with strong partners such as Raiffeisenlandesbank OÖ, the State of Upper Austria, the Chamber of Commerce and KPMG.
Under this year’s motto, “Boundless, for an open economy,” the event was marked by openness, collaboration and new opportunities in an increasingly interconnected Europe.
As the newly crowned “Export Emperor,” FN Neuhofer ranks among the most outstanding companies in the Upper Austrian economy.
