MMFA Board Re-Elected for 2026-2028

The Annual General Assembly of the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association, MMFA, has officially re-elected its Board for the 2026-2028 term, reinforcing leadership continuity during a pivotal period for competitiveness, sustainability and technological transition in the flooring sector.

Jan Dossche, USFloors, will serve a third consecutive two-year term as President, alongside Sebastian Wendel, Classen, who returns as Vice-President and Chairman of the Technical Committee.

Carlos Duarte, Amorim Cork Solutions, who joined the leadership team in March this year ad-interim, has also been re-elected.

“I am very grateful to our members for their continued trust and mandate to continue leading the MMFA into the 2026-2028 term,” said Jan Dossche, President of the MMFA.

“Over the past few years, our industry has demonstrated incredible resilience and innovation. It is therefore an honour to continue to oversee the growth of MMFA, which has become the largest and most dynamic flooring association worldwide.”

A core priority for the returning leadership team will be to guide members through upcoming European regulatory changes and data standardisation requirements.

Sebastian Wendel, Vice-President and Chairman of the Technical Committee, highlighted the technical milestones ahead:

“The next two years are critical, as the industry must adapt to evolving environmental standards, we will be working on equipping our members with a new LCA tool and updating our Environmental Product Declarations, EPDs.”

Carlos Duarte focuses heavily on innovation, sustainability and international market development. Throughout his career, he has specialised in creating eco-friendly flooring technologies and long-term value within the industry, including award-winning cork-based solutions.

Mr. Duarte mentions he is “delighted to join this group of industry leaders.” Honoured by the trust placed in him, he looks forward to collaborating with the Board and actively contributing to the growth and advancement of the multilayer modular flooring sector.

The Board was elected during a General Assembly online vote, which took place from 1 to 12 June 2026.

As the association’s highest decision-making body, comprising all Ordinary members, the Assembly is responsible for electing the Board for its two-year mandate.
