Aegean Exporters Are Preparing to Take Part in the HD Expo Conference 2026 in the U.S. with a National Participation Organization for the First Time
Aegean Furniture Exporters Add Trade Fair Participation to Their Trade Delegation Programs
A first is taking place in the 86-year history of the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association. The Association will organize a Türkiye National Participation at the HD Expo Conference 2026, which will be held in Las Vegas, United States, from May 5 to 7, 2026.
We Aim to Strengthen Our Position in the U.S. Market
Hikmet Güngör, Vice Chairman of the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association, stated that the United States imported USD 66 billion worth of furniture products in 2025. He also noted that there were years when U.S. furniture imports reached USD 90 billion, and emphasized that Türkiye aims to increase its furniture exports to the U.S. from USD 250 million to USD 500 million.
We Are Adding Trade Fair Organizations to Our Sectoral Trade Delegations
Güngör stated that over the past four years, as the Aegean Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association, they have organized sectoral trade delegations to 8 countries, contributing to the marketing strength of 139 companies. He said: “While continuing with our sectoral trade delegations and buyer missions, we will organize a Türkiye National Participation at a trade fair for the first time through HD Expo Conference 2026. With HD Expo Conference 2026, we aim to increase the global competitiveness of the Turkish furniture industry, ensure greater participation of Turkish brands in international projects, and strengthen their position in the U.S. market.”
Güngör stated that the HD Expo Conference 2026 focuses on furniture, lighting, textiles, flooring, and interior solutions for hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, resorts, and commercial hospitality projects. He added that the fair stands out as one of the sector’s leading international meeting points. He also noted that the fair is a strong trade platform where direct contact can be established with architects, interior designers, project developers, procurement professionals, and chain hotel representatives.
A Strategic Promotion Move in the U.S. Market
Emphasizing that the United States is among the target markets for the Turkish furniture and interior sector, Güngör continued: “The U.S. offers significant opportunities for our products, which stand out with strong design, production capacity, and high quality standards. Through the national participation organization to be held במסגרת HD Expo Conference 2026, we aim to increase the brand awareness of Turkish companies, establish new commercial connections, and strengthen export volume.”
Opportunity for State-Supported Participation
Güngör also stated that HD Expo Conference 2026 is included in the list of fairs supported by the Ministry of Trade. He emphasized that participating companies meeting the conditions set out in the legislation will be able to benefit from support within the specified rates and upper limits for fair participation expenses.
