Artkim Group Brings the Turkchem Brand to Baku

Trade in the chemical industry between Türkiye and Azerbaijan continues to strengthen every year. Azerbaijan’s imports of chemicals and chemical products from Türkiye reached 536.6 million dollars in 2025 and increased by 3.3 percent to 268.3 million dollars in the first six months of 2026. In line with the growing trade volume and investment potential in the region, Artkim Group is bringing Turkchem, one of Eurasia’s well-established chemical exhibition brands, to Azerbaijan.

Following the 11th TURKCHEM EXPO Eurasia, which will be held at the Istanbul Expo Center from November 25 to 27, 2026, Turkchem Azerbaijan 2027 will take place at the Baku Expo Center from April 6 to 8. Supported by AZPROMO, Azerbaijan’s official investment and export promotion agency, Turkchem Azerbaijan aims to contribute to new trade, investment and technology partnerships between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

CHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL PARKS ARE EVOLVING INTO REGIONAL PRODUCTION HUBS

At a time when global supply chains are being reshaped, production bases are becoming more diversified and the Middle Corridor is gaining importance in international trade, Azerbaijan is emerging as one of the region’s rising production and investment centers for the chemical and petrochemical industries.

With its strong energy infrastructure, expanding industrial investments, rich raw material resources and investment incentives, the country is attracting international investors through its strategic location, which provides access to a market of approximately 300 million people across Türkiye, the Caucasus, the Caspian Basin and Central Asia.

One of the most important pillars of this transformation, Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park, currently hosts 39 investors. Investment commitments in the park have exceeded 6 billion manats, while completed investments have surpassed 5.5 billion manats and more than 6,200 people are employed there. Products manufactured in the park are exported to more than 70 countries.

The investment ecosystem created together with the Alat Free Economic Zone also supports Azerbaijan’s ambition to become a regional production and export hub.

A NEW MEETING POINT FOR REGIONAL TRADE

Launched in response to the region’s developing industrial infrastructure, Turkchem Azerbaijan will bring together manufacturers, raw material suppliers, distributors, technology providers, laboratory equipment manufacturers, investors, purchasing professionals and industry decision-makers under one roof.

Covering chemicals, petrochemical products, specialty chemicals, laboratory technologies, process equipment and production technologies, the event will offer participants new trade and investment opportunities through international conferences, Turkchem Stage sessions and scheduled B2B business meetings.

Turkchem Azerbaijan aims to go beyond being an exhibition where products are simply displayed. It is designed to become a meeting point where industry professionals exchange knowledge, new technologies are introduced and international business connections are developed.

A NEW STEP IN TURKCHEM’S INTERNATIONAL GROWTH JOURNEY

Stating that Turkchem Azerbaijan will contribute not only to commercial relations between the two countries, but also to technology transfer and investment partnerships, Artkim Group Founder and CEO Ahmet Güler said:

“Turkchem has been bringing manufacturers, suppliers, investors and industry professionals together for many years as one of the most important meeting points for the chemical sector in Türkiye. Azerbaijan has also gained significant momentum in chemical and petrochemical investments in recent years.

We chose Azerbaijan as the first step in Turkchem’s international growth journey because of its strong commercial relations with Türkiye, developing industrial infrastructure and strategic position providing access to the Caucasus and Central Asian markets. In this direction, we are now bringing the strong ecosystem Turkchem has built in Türkiye to Azerbaijan.

We believe Turkchem Azerbaijan will make an important contribution to strengthening commercial relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, creating new investment opportunities and developing regional cooperation.”

BAKU’S STRATEGIC LOCATION OFFERS NEW OPPORTUNITIES

Drawing attention to the regional advantages offered by Baku, Güler continued:

“Baku is an important trade and investment center for international companies thanks to its strategic location providing access to the Caucasus, the Caspian Basin and Central Asian markets. Turkchem Azerbaijan will support the exhibition experience with international conferences, Turkchem Stage sessions and scheduled B2B meetings, offering participants a comprehensive industry gathering focused on business development.

With this step, we aim to expand Turkchem’s international reach while also bringing Türkiye’s chemical industry to new markets.”

In line with its international exhibition vision, Artkim Group continues to connect Türkiye’s chemical industry with new markets. Turkchem Azerbaijan is expected to contribute to strengthening economic relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, establishing new partnerships that will increase regional trade volume and becoming one of the leading industry meeting points in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
