Brought to life by Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture through a dialogue between ancient wisdom and contemporary aesthetics, “XO Cape Arnna” has been honored as a Winner in the Excellent Architecture – Interior Architecture – Public category at the German Design Awards 2026.
With over 25 years of experience designing hospitality spaces for accredited international hotel chains across diverse global destinations, Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture has achieved a notable success at one of the design world’s most respected competitions. Located in Fethiye, the XO Cape Arnna project stood out to the jury in the Excellent Architecture – Interior Architecture – Public category.
Each year, the German Design Awards recognize outstanding projects worldwide across architecture, product, and communication design. The award is granted based on criteria such as aesthetics, functionality, originality, and contribution to contemporary living culture, and is widely regarded as an international mark of excellence in design and architecture.
Among the 2026 winners, XO Cape Arnna draws attention for a design approach that is intuitive, multi-layered, and seamlessly integrated with nature. Conceived by Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture, the project centers on the symbolic relationship with light found in the ancient Anatolian civilization of the Luwians. Here, light is not merely illumination; it is a guiding design element that shapes and animates the spirit of the space.
The studio’s “orchestrated design” philosophy delivers a holistic, multi-sensory experience, and this signature approach is distinctly reflected throughout the project.
The award ceremony will take place on 6 February 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany, during the international design fair Ambiente. Gathering over 1,200 distinguished guests annually, the ceremony will present Yeşim Kozanlı Architecture’s “XO Cape Arnna” with the Excellent Architecture – Interior Architecture – Public prize.
