Imagination Meets Technology with the “Fabric Shaped Me” Workshop
Within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4007 “A Pinch of Science, A World of Festivals” Support Program, Çilek is bringing children’s imagination together with the light of science through its participation in the “Bursa Science Festival: We Produce with Science, We Advance with Technology” project.

As part of the event, Murat Bulca, Chief Operating Officer at Çilek, spoke at the “İnegöl from Past to Present” seminar held at the İnegöl City Museum, sharing insights into Çilek’s approach to quality in furniture, its commitment to sustainable production, and its alignment with the European Green Deal.
At the same time, the Çilek Design Center team met with children in the workshop titled “Fabric Shaped Me: An AI-Assisted Design Story,” where creativity and technology came together. Children first explored different fabrics by touch and reflected on how they felt, then completed a brief survey with questions such as “What did this fabric make you feel?” Finally, they drew their dream furniture; using AI, these drawings—together with the fabrics they chose—were transformed into digital furniture designs.

With this initiative, Çilek encourages children’s active participation in the design process and offers a new-generation learning experience that blends creativity, sustainable thinking, and technology.
