OVER FORTY ITALIAN COMPANIES IN THE GLASS INDUSTRY OF ITALY, WHICH IS THE THIRD COMMERCIAL PARTNER OF TURKEY, HOSTED THEIR VISITORS AT TÜYAP ISTANBUL FAIR AND CONGRESS CENTER ON MARCH 6-9, WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE ITALIAN TRADE AGENCY
Italy was one of the focus of interest of Eurasia Glass Fair, the largest fair in Eurasia region, which was held by REED Tuyap Fuarcilik A.S. on March 6-9, and brought together the components of the glass industry.
According to TUIK data, Italy is the third trade partner of Turkey in glass processing machinery and glass products sector. In 2018 the total sector foreign trade amounted to 140.6 million dollars. This year, 36 Italian companies participated in the Eurasia Glass Fair under the umbrella of the country, either directly or through their representatives. There were also 14 companies participating in the Eurasia Window Fair that was held simultaneously.
The Italian Trade Agency was proud to participate in Eurasia Glass 2019 Glass Fair in collaboration with GIMAV (Association of Italian Manufacturers and Suppliers of Machinery, Equipment and Special Products for Glass Processing) and to host in their stand, domestic and foreign visitors. ITA manager, Mr. Aniello Musella, said that Italian glass processing machines have a high-tech level, so Italian firms have a very advantageous position in marketing and sales. Mr. Musella expressed that, since the Turkish Government is also aiming to increase its technology level and production in the glass processing industry, they can meet with the Italian companies in common denominator.
Among the Italian companies exhibiting at the Eurasia Glass in the Italian Pavilion, Star Srl, TK Srl, Schiatti Angelo Srl and Triulzi Cesare Special Equipment Srl, one of the leading companies in Italian glass industry with the annual trade volume of between 750 thousand and 15 million Euros, presented their own products, projects and services to visitors and met their current and potential customers.
Italian Trade Agency is a Government organization active in 67 countries with 79 offices.
It operates on the Italian embassies and consulates and is responsible for promoting/developing trade relations, partnerships and investments between Italy and foreign countries. In strict cooperation with local institutions and private companies, ITA has an office in Milan and a central location in Rome.
