ORKA Banyo Maintains Strong Performance in the First Half of 2026

🎧Listen to AI Summary

With more than 35 years of expertise in bathroom furniture, ORKA Banyo continued its strong performance in the first half of 2026, driven by demand from the project channel, new collections appealing to different budgets and expansion initiatives in European and North African markets. In the remainder of the year, the company will focus on introducing new collections to consumers, expanding its sales network in Türkiye and increasing its presence in Europe.

According to data from the Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations, AKİB, exports of Türkiye’s furniture, paper and forest products sector reached 3.75 billion dollars in the first half of 2026, declining by 1.8 percent compared with the same period of the previous year. During a period marked by slowing global demand and cost pressures, ORKA Banyo, which operates globally in the bathroom furniture sector, recorded year-on-year progress in revenue, sales volume and market activity. Supported by balanced growth across domestic and export channels, the company completed the first half with a strong performance in line with its growth targets.

Growth was particularly supported by bathroom furniture collections designed for different budget segments and product groups developed specifically for the project channel. Modular solutions offering advantages in price, dimensions, fast lead times and standardization increased their share of sales to residential, hotel and commercial projects. During seasonal campaigns, competitively priced products suitable for rapid delivery came to the fore. Dealers maintained their position as the main sales force in the domestic market while momentum was also gained in the project and home improvement retail channels.

Evaluating the company’s first-half performance, ORKA Banyo General Manager Nalan Yılmaz said the ability to accurately interpret demand moving in different directions played a decisive role in the company’s success:

“In the first half of the year, we encountered a market in which demand in international markets varied by region. In Türkiye, products suited to different budgets and solutions offering fast lead times for the project channel stood out. In exports, our performance in Europe and North Africa balanced the slowdown in the Middle East and CIS countries. By shaping our product and market priorities according to the direction of demand, we maintained our growth momentum.”

Delivery Times Shortened in Europe

ORKA Banyo expanded its export network with new customers and partnerships while increasing its commercial volume in existing markets during the first half of the year. The Orka Badmöbel logistics center in Germany enabled faster and more consistent delivery of European orders through regional inventory management. Shorter delivery times strengthened existing relationships and enabled the company to act more flexibly in developing new partnerships.

ORKA Banyo also continued its customer and channel development activities in the United Kingdom during the first six months of 2026. Preparations related to target market analysis, brand positioning, corporate structuring and a strategic roadmap continued within the scope of the Turquality program.

Nearly 20 ORKA Corners Launched

The ORKA Corner network expanded with nearly 20 new implementations launched across Türkiye during the first six months of the year. Display areas at existing sales points were renewed while training programs for dealer teams and in-store standards were further developed. New partnerships established in residential, commercial project and urban transformation segments also increased the effectiveness of this channel.

Sanitary Ware Production Begins in Eskişehir, SAP Transition Completed

Selected product groups at ORKA’s sanitary ware facility in Eskişehir entered the production and commercial sales stage. Following product development, trial production, quality validation and market preparation processes, operations will be expanded gradually according to demand and operational requirements. After mass production increases, the facility’s capacity and product range are planned to expand in line with the scheduled roadmap.

With its transition to SAP S/4HANA, ORKA Banyo integrated finance, sales, production planning, maintenance, materials and warehouse management into a single digital infrastructure. Data collected from machinery and sensors on the production floor has begun to be used for predictive maintenance activities. Barcode systems in the warehouse and operator terminals have also been integrated into the SAP system.

As part of its lights-out factory investment, work on automation, data monitoring and the digitalization of production flows also continued without slowing down. Initial improvements were achieved in production times, defect and waste rates, energy efficiency and workforce productivity. The full impact of the targeted capacity increase is expected to become more visible as the production lines are commissioned.

Addressing ORKA Banyo’s priorities for the coming period, Yılmaz concluded:

“In the second half of the year, we will introduce our new collections to the market. We will expand our dealer and ORKA Corner networks in Türkiye while accelerating our activities in Europe. In line with the current outlook, we are maintaining our year-end targets.”
