After years of dedicated and professional work for FEP (European Federation of the Parquet Industry), Mr Endre Varga, FEP Managing Director, has decided to retire at the end of June of the current year. The Board of Directors of FEP has taken the unanimous decision to appoint Mrs Isabelle Brose as his successor.
Mr Lars Gunnar Andersen, FEP Chairman, regrets Mr Varga’s departure – “Mr Varga has decisively shaped and transformed our federation into a stable, respected and influential organisation at all relevant levels. Nevertheless, we fully understand the logic behind his decision and wish him all the best in his personal life in the years ahead.” Mr Andersen adds that “He’s fully confident in the capacities of Mrs Brose and her competence to build on FEP’s success & further streamline its activities in the future.”
Mrs Brose is 40 years old, has an economic degree cum laude from the University of Namur in Belgium, and a large previous experience at management level working amongst others with European wood industry federations where she developed excellent contacts in the various DGs of the European Commission in Brussels. She has been a close assistant to both Mr Varga and the FEP Board of Directors in recent years, a position in which she gained valuable experience and performed excellent work in all specific fields.
“I’m honoured by the trust expressed by the FEP Chairman and Board of Directors” says Mrs Brose. “I’m looking forward to my new position at FEP, addressing the challenges and opportunities that the Parquet Industry faces, to the benefit of our association and our members”.
The FEP Chairman & Board of Directors wish Mrs Brose all the success in the exercise of her new function.
