Architect İrem Arıbaş, one of the co-founders of BAB Architects, has been honored at the Europe 40 Under 40 Awards 2026 with the Anadolu Agency İstanbul General Directorate, Ekol TV and D1 Media Center projects. Designed by BAB Architects, the Anadolu Agency İstanbul General Directorate brings together the institution’s deep-rooted history and future-oriented vision while highlighting natural light, flexible working layouts, biophilic design and modular office solutions. Conceived as a contemporary media center with social areas that strengthen employee experience and a transparent spatial organization, the Anadolu Agency İstanbul General Directorate offers a sustainable and user-oriented working environment that supports collaboration, communication and efficiency.
Ekol TV, a multi-storey media center that brings the technical requirements of broadcasting together with an innovative and dynamic interior design approach, consists of open office, studio and management floors. The project draws attention with shared areas that encourage social interaction, transparent spatial solutions and a strong balance of color and material. The design approach, which reflects the institution’s young and energetic identity, combines technological infrastructure needs with a contemporary and flexible working environment.
Another award-winning project in which BAB Architects reflects corporate identity, D1 Media Center reinterprets the needs of contemporary broadcasting with a focus on architectural openness and operational efficiency. Designed with double-height studio areas, an open newsroom and integrated control units, the building offers a working environment that supports transparency, flexibility and interaction between departments. This architectural approach creates a human-oriented and technological spatial setup that adapts to the rapidly changing dynamics of media production.
