i4F®, a group of companies providing patents and technologies to the global flooring industry, today announced that it has partnered with Lioncore Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd. for exclusive licensing rights on Lioncore’s new patented Lightweight Stone Polymer Composite (L-SPC) technology. This specific technology covers a light rigid core vinyl product with an LVT sub-layer that is twenty-five percent lighter than traditional SPC while providing superior dimensional stability as well as reduced logistics costs. Lioncore, based in Quang Yen Town, situated in north-east Vietnam, is a leading resilient flooring producer and the supplier of choice to some of the largest retailers in the US.
Composed of four primary layers, wear, décor, light-foamed SPC core, and LVT bottom, Lioncore’s L-SPC technology yields products with a significantly lighter structure than conventional rigid core vinyl. It delivers superior durability, stability, sound performance, and the same waterproof performance as traditional SPC in a more efficient, easier-to-handle format. The reduced weight lowers transport and handling costs while maintaining dimensional stability and long-term performance. This makes L-SPC a practical and reliable solution for both commercial and residential projects.
