Erdal Albayrak / Chairman of the Board, Albayrak Beton:
TÜİK data show that the sector has left its sluggish period well behind. We can say the July figures marked the second-highest readings to date on both an annual and a monthly basis. Moreover, factors such as declining interest rates and the introduction of the real estate certificate system indicate that housing sales could reach desired levels by year-end. Experts state that the number of sales will exceed 1.5 million this year. Our wish going forward is that housing supply rises together with the increase in housing sales, that new investments are put into action, and that a supply-demand balance is achsieved. We expect prices in the sector to stabilize in line with improvements in supply and credit availability.
