Senior Appointment at Hayat Holding
Hayat Holding has announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Davut Kavranoğlu as Head of the Wood Group and General Manager of Kastamonu Entegre. Having held senior roles across academia, public administration, the private sector and entrepreneurship throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Kavranoğlu will steer Hayat Holding’s investments in the wood group with his long-standing experience in diverse fields and will lead Kastamonu Entegre, the global brand of the wood-based panel industry.
A graduate of Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Prof. Dr. Kavranoğlu continued his academic career in the United States. He received his master’s degree in 1986 and his PhD in 1989 from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Pasadena. In addition to his academic career, he served in senior positions such as Deputy Minister of Science, Industry and Technology, and Chief Advisor to the President on Science, Technology, Education and Industry. From 2020 to 2025, Prof. Dr. Kavranoğlu served as Chairman of the Board at San Francisco–based Geoxon and also chaired the Board of the Information Economy Association.
With his expertise, leadership experience and international vision, Prof. Dr. Davut Kavranoğlu will lead the sustainable growth vision of Hayat Holding’s Wood Group and Kastamonu Entegre.
