Concrete steps in sustainability
During the panel titled “The Key to Transformation: Funds, R&D, and Integrated Strategies with Stakeholders,” Kastamonu Entegre’s Global R&D and Innovation Director Dr. Hüseyin Güler took part as a panelist. The two-part session discussed key themes such as strong R&D investments, access to appropriate financial resources, and the development of integrated strategies with stakeholders to ensure the success of the green transition.

In the first part, Dr. Güler outlined how Kastamonu Entegre applies sustainable forestry criteria in sourcing wood-based raw materials. Emphasizing the company’s coverage within international certification systems such as FSC and PEFC, he explained how this approach is reflected in the company’s circular production strategies.

The second part highlighted green finance, R&D, and circular transformation. Dr. Güler presented projects focused on recovering and upcycling used wood-based panels from the furniture industry in addition to production residues. He also detailed concrete steps Kastamonu Entegre is taking toward reducing its carbon footprint and transitioning to renewable energy by 2030.
