Albayrak Beton Launches New Plant to Supply Concrete for Metro Projects

Albayrak Beton has opened its fifth ready-mix concrete plant in Istanbul. Located in Çekmeköy, the facility represents an investment of 18,924,000 TL and will supply concrete for metro construction, high-spec housing, and both infrastructure and superstructure projects.

Serving a broad range—from metro lines and public buildings to infrastructure and premium real-estate developments—Albayrak Beton has completed and commissioned its new plant in Hüseyinli, Çekmeköy on Istanbul’s Asian side. The Çekmeköy Ready-Mix Concrete Plant aims to meet the concrete requirements of ongoing and upcoming metro projects.

Erdal Albayrak, Chairman of Albayrak Beton, commented on the investment: “We’ve brought our new plant online, making it our fifth in Istanbul. The concrete produced here will serve housing developments, factory projects, and public works such as roads, bridges, and metro lines. Recently approved zoning plans in Çekmeköy and surrounding areas mean we’ll meet local demand while also supporting metro projects on the Asian side. Thanks to the plant’s proximity to the Northern Marmara Motorway and the Şile Motorway, we expect it to capture market share in Üsküdar, Ümraniye, Beykoz, and Şile.”

The Çekmeköy plant, built with an investment of approximately 18.924 million TL, has a capacity of 90 m³ per hour and roughly 173,000 m³ per year. Albayrak Beton targets production of 150,000 m³ of ready-mix concrete at this facility in 2025.
