Münir Tanyer, Chairman of the Board of Tanyer Yapı:
“DEMAND FOR HOUSING CONTINUES TO RISE”
Demand is increasing for both new and second-hand homes. People are having difficulty obtaining the necessary loans. Across the sector, there is an expectation that mortgage interest rates will fall. From time to time, economies worldwide experience fluctuations, and we must act knowing that these fluctuations are temporary. It is very important to maintain inflation targets and continue tight monetary policies. Since the pandemic, not enough housing has been produced, yet demand remains strong. Projects that have just started or are under construction are therefore valuable and important for everyone. People view real-estate investment as a safe haven. In my opinion, İzmir is Turkey’s shining star. Because of its lifestyle, climate, ease of transportation, and proximity to holiday resorts, it continues to attract qualified migration. For this reason, demand growth also continues.
