Markets Expect an Interest Rate Cut
Bank interest rates, one of the main determining factors in economic indicators, were raised to 46 percent at the Central Bank meeting held last March.
Real-estate representatives from İzmir note that, as annual inflation continues to decline, the markets are expecting an interest-rate cut decision following the meeting scheduled for June.
Sector representatives, emphasizing that the construction industry feeds 200 different lines of business and makes a significant contribution to the economy, state that if low-interest loan opportunities are provided, the housing market will revive again.
