In Spačva, we are deeply aware of the value of historical knowledge, and preservation of the tradition. Every tree that we transform into high-quality products, on average, is between 100 and 120 years old. Spačva’s oak, in its annual rings, carries a hidden memory of ancient forests. As true fans of wood, we recognize that fact in the unsurpassed beauty of texture, and excellent structural strength of the Slavonian oak.
That is why one of our primary obligation is maintaining the integrity, and quality, of the forests, as well as increasing the amount of wood in them. Therefore, our products proudly have the mark of origin solely from the forest that is 100% responsibly maintained. Considering the constant increase of the annual increment of wood mass, we could jokingly say that these forests are 120% responsibly managed and maintained.
Today, Spačva consists of five factories: sawmill, parquet production, final products factory, veneer factory and bio-fuels factory. It employs 850 workers, which makes it one of the leading employers, both in Vinkovci and in the county. For the most part, we are exporting to the European market, and our goal is even stronger breakthrough in the export of finished products, primarily parquet floors, peasant flooring and doors, and the production of bio-fuels, in whose facility considerable investment funds have recently been invested.
