Tanyer Yapı Ground Division Coordinator, civil engineer Batuhan Tozburun, stated that they began ground works in July on a five-decare plot for a hospital construction belonging to one of the sector’s leading companies.
Tozburun explained that diaphragm walls, barrettes, and anchoring are being executed by an expert team and extensive equipment fleet for the hospital project in Haramidere, Istanbul.
A National Brand Goal in Ground Engineering
Noting that they will complete the project’s first phase by year-end, Batuhan Tozburun said, “We started initial works at the beginning of July, everything is progressing according to plan, we will deliver the first phase by year-end, and we plan to finish the second phase in 2026. Previously, we undertook the ground works for the Halkalı metro station in Istanbul, provided services for a road project in Denizli, and worked on bridge piers in Kastamonu. This is the largest project we have carried out outside our home region. Istanbul, the economic capital, also holds huge potential for ground infrastructure, therefore we are considering opening an office here to intensify our services, discussions for new projects are ongoing, and we aim to become a national brand in ground engineering,” he said.
Experience and Equipment Are Crucial
Emphasizing that ground works require machinery, equipment, technical staff, and, most importantly, experience, Tozburun added, “We have a team of nearly 200 experienced professionals and a broad machinery fleet in ground engineering and foundation works. We can perform multiple applications such as jet grouting, barrettes, and diaphragm walls simultaneously. We have reached an annual workload of 100,000 meters in total. We provide professional solutions to the most prestigious construction firms in İzmir, and we were already conducting ground works in Istanbul, Aydın, Denizli, and Manisa. Now we have brought this expertise to Istanbul. Besides housing and commercial spaces, we offer specialized services for highways, metros and underground structures, bridge piers, and high-rise buildings.
